The interview of the week with Marius Carlan – Executive Director of GERROMA TOUR

1.infotravelromania.ro: Tell me a few words about GERROMA TOUR.
M. C.: GERROMA TOUR is a tourism agency with private capital, member of National Association of Tourism Agencies. We have a license in tourism since 2003. Even is a new agency on Romanian market, GERROMA TOUR has as objective to satisfy the clients by quality programs, offering many touristic products, standard packages or requested by our clients for individuals or groups of tourists.

2.infotravelromania.ro: what is your offer and which are the main destinations chosen by Romanian tourists at the moment?
M.C.: Our offer is various. We have journeys on the sunny beaches of Europe and ski journeys in the country or abroad. We respect the principle to offer the client exactly what he wants. The main destinations asked by Rumanian tourists are Greece, Turkey, because of the low prices and the short distance and in Romania the mountain resorts especially in the winter season.

3.infotravelromania.ro: What is your offer for the New Year?
M.C: For this New Year we have some circuits to the main touristic destinations in Europe as Paris, Rome, Venice, Prague, but also journeys in exotic places as Egypt, Tunis, Dubai, Thailand, Cancun. We thought also about the mountain and ski lovers and they can spent a lovely journey in mountain resorts from Ostrich, France or Switzerland.

4.infotravelromania.ro: Why is better for a tourist to request the services of an agency?
M.C.: For any client is recommended to go to the specialists for any problem. Also in the tourism domain, we recommend the tourists to go to the agencies and to the specialists (tourism and ticketing agents) to choose their right holiday and to receive correct information about the places they will visit and about the facilities in every trip.

5.infotravelromania.ro: Do you think that this year the extern tourism will develop better than last year?
M.C.: I don’t think it will be a significant increasing from one year to another, but the tourism market from Romania is at the beginning and there has to pass a few years and than we can talk about the extern tourism.

6.infotravelromania.ro: Do you advice the tourists to plan their trip a long time ago? They can have the unpleasant surprise not to find tickets?
M.C.: We always advice tourists to plan their vacation long ago because:
- it is possible that they won’t find the tickets they want in the last days
- they can benefit of special offers if they make reservations (discounts)

M.C.: Is a complex portal where the tourists and the ticketing agents can find the requested information. We congratulate the people who had this idea.
