The interview of the week with Mss. luliana Carstoiu – Manager of KARSTOUR

1.infotravelromania.ro: Tell me something about your travel agency.
I.C.: Our agency was opened in 1998 and it is specialized on outgoing. We work with external partners for most of the destinations. Our motto was from the begging “The attitude makes the difference!”. Our clients are receiving from us exactly what they want, respecting their tourist option, trips, personalized journeys, facilities offered, the budget.

2.infotravelromania.ro: What is your offer and which are the most wanted external destinations by Romanian tourists now?
I.C.: As usually. On winter season the most preferred destinations are the internal ones, in mountain or private resorts, but also in ski resorts in Switzerland, Italy where we have a various offer.
Our agency offers this year a real meeting with Santa Clause, in Finland, where every child’s dream comes truth: Santa Clause gives them presents, they decorated the Christmas tree together, they are making cookies and play with the elf.
We have also hot and exotic destinations, in Thailand, Bali, Maldives, Seychelles, Indonesia, for journeys or for circuits organized by out partners there. The New Year week you can spend it in Greece, in Turkey, in Berlin, Malta, Cyprus, Budapest, in hotels of 3 to 5 stars, with a festive dinner and a show on the New Year night.

3.infotravelromania.ro: Why do you advice tourists to came to a tourism agency?
I.C.: A tourism agency can create to the request of the client a package of services less expensive than the offers, on an itinerary chosen by the client. Other wise he could have some difficulties as very expensive hotels. A tourism agency is also an authorized adviser.

4.infotravelromania.ro: Do you think that this year the request for external tourism will be better than the last year?
I.C.: Romania could keep the tourists in the country if the internal services will get better and the prices will be a little low. Most of Romanian people want to travel and see other countries, and if the prices for abroad journeys will stay low and the ticketing agents will work hard, I think that this year will be the same and the external trips will be in top of the preferences.

5.infotravelromania.ro: Do you advice the tourists to prepare and make reservations ahead for a trip abroad? Could they have the unpleasant surprise not to find any tickets if they decide to go in the last moment?
I.C. In other countries from the west the holidays are paid months ago or even a year. For example, in Ostrich the hotels sold their places already. Also, in Romania, we sell packages of services for the New Year in mountain resorts or in private houses.
Our agency is specialized also on “last minute offers” and can sell journeys one day before the beginning of the trip.

6.infotravelromania.ro: What is your offer for the young people who just got married and want to leave on their honey moon?

I.C: For the honey moons we work with a hotel chain that has almost 400 hotels in beautiful places, offering wonderful views. Castles, old houses, very old pensions, with historical and cultural tradition, in Ostrich, Belgium, Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Sweden, Norway, Luxembourg, Portugal, Czech Republic. Each building has it’s own personality, a distinguish character and the guests are warmly welcomed. This program is created for romantic moments, even if it’s a weekend, a honey moon or a runaway trip: the hotels will welcome you for relaxation, with a special dinner and a trip in the nearest towns. Generally, all the hotels have special treatment for the honey moon, especially the ones in Italy, Venice in particular, the most wanted destination for this kind of tourism.

7.infotravelromania.ro: What is your offer for this New Year?
I.C.: There is a various offer, starting with 190 €/person, for 4 nights in Pralia for the New Year, 3 stars hotel, or 199 € for a circuit in Turkey - 2 nights in Kusadasi, 3 star hotel. Our offer is also for group trips in France, by plain, in Ostrich, 6 days ski program. For the interested people, we wait for you for more details.
