The interview of the week with Violeta Cucu – the marketing director of CITY INSURANCE

1.infotravelromania.ro: When it was opened the Insurance – Reinsurance CITY INSURANCE and which are the services offered?
V.C.: The Insurance – Reinsurance CITY INSURANCE was opened in 1998 and it is reauthorized by the Surveillance of the Insurances Commission through the Decision no. 9/31.10.2001, in conformity with the Law 32/2000, to provide activities in insurance domain and to make general insurances, conform to the in force laws.
Since 2001, our society is oriented to tourism insurances, and our objective is to satisfy highly professional the requests of our clients in the tourist insurances, even if they are simple tourists or tourism agencies, offering a large palette of products and specific services as:
- medical insurance for abroad trips
- nullify insurance of the trip, accident insurance of the tourists during the trip
- insolvency insurance of the tourists or of the tourism agency
- person insurance in the buses during the trip
- luggage insurance during the transport.

2.infotravelromania.ro: What does it mean the program “Everything for your agency” and when it was started?
V.C.: The program “Everything for your agency” it was conceived especially for the tourism agencies and their employees between 1 may – 31 October 2004.
Because CITY INSURANCE S.A. has o lot of partners between the tourism agencies, we want to offer them special conditions and of those conditions to benefit also the agency and their employees who want to make personal insurances.
One of the most important benefits of this program is the level of the insurance bonuses offered for those big interest programs such as:
- tourist insurances in case of insolvency of the tourism agencies (this kind of insurance is obligatory for the tourism agencies)
- CASCO – facultative insurance of autos
- Accident insurance of the person and luggage that are in the buses during the trip
- The insurance of the building and possessions of the agency
- The complex insurance for the buildings and possessions.

3.infotravelromania.ro: Why it is necessary that the Romanian tourist should make a travel insurance and what are the services offered?
V.C. We consider that tourists should make a medical travel abroad insurance because this way they eliminate the risk of supporting the eventual expenses with medical services that can show up in case of accidents or of a sudden illness. On the other hand, this kind of insurance is obligatory for Romanian tourists when they travel in most of the countries in Europe and outside Europe.
That is why CITY INSURANCE S.A is oriented to the quality of the product so that the tourists to real benefit. The medical abroad trips insurance CITYMED that we provide warranties, in case of accident or sudden illness, the direct taking care of the expenses for the medical services and assistants, including the remigration services.
