8-Day Journey by plane
1st Day Home - Bucharest - Predeal
In the afternoon we arrive Bucharest Otopeni. We
are here expecteded by the romanian guide and we drive further to the
north. We travel about two hours through the Prahova Valley and we arrive
in Predeal, the largest city form the mountains of Romania. D/O/B. Hotel

2nd Day Predeal
In the morning, we will visit the monastery Sinaia
that was constructed from monks from the Sinai peninsula who also gave
the name of this city. After that we will see the Castel Peles that
was constructed as summer residence of the royal family Hohenzollern,
in Bavarian style. In the afternoon we drive to Transylvania and we
will visit the castle Bran that is also known as castle Dracula. After
the visit, over Risnov we reach Brasov, that is the largest city from
Transylvania. We can see here the Black Church, that is the largest
gothic building in Easten of Europe. In the evening we are invited in
the restaurant "Cabana Trei Brazi", where we will learn something
about the specialty of the romanian kitchen and we will hear romanian

3rd Day Brasov - Cimpulung Moldovenesc
In the morning we drive through the most eastern
part of Transylvania, through Szekler county, where the largest part
of descent hungarian population is living. We drive trough the Carpathian
Mountains to the Lacu Rosu (red lake) past by the Bicaz gorge into the
Moldau. From here we drive further to the north into the Bucovina. On
the way we visit one of the biggest nun monasteries of Europe, the monastery
Agapia, with over 1000 nuns. D/O/B. Hotel Zimbru 3*
4th Day Tour of the monasteries
We begin the tour of the monasteries with the nun
monastery Moldovita, where the mother Tatijana will introduce us into
the life of the orthodox monasteries. In the same time we're getting
a lot of information about the exterior wall paintings of this monastery.
The trip goes now further over the Obcina-Mare-mountain to the monastery
Sucevita, which is the only monastery from the Bucovina where the painting
is intact on the north wall. In the vicinity is the ceramic centre Marginea
where black ceramic is still produced using the old technology. In the
afternoon we will see the monastery Voronet, which is coloured in blue,
the "Capella Sixtina" of the Romanian ortodox believe. In
the evening we are invited to the Wood Museum from Cimpulung Moldovenesc,
where a folklore program with a good meal and a drink is planed. D/O/B.

5th Day Cimpulung Moldovenesc – Tirgu Mures
Today we cross again the Carpathian Mountains and
drive past at the Dracula hotel in the morning. Here is the region where,
the legend says that the Count Dracula, the Vampire would have lived.
First, we will visit the city Bistrita, the one of the seven castles
that also gave the name of the province and the Protestant church, that
was built in the 14th century from the citizens of Transylvanian saxon.
The guild flags have can be been seen in the church, exactly like century
ago. In the afternoon we drive over Reghin to Tirgu Mures. Here we will
visit the orthodox Cathedral, the largest from Romania. D/O/B. Hotel

6th Day Tirgu Mures – Sibiu
In the morning we visit the city Sighisoara, that
has been always compared with Salzburg (Austria). The sights of the
city are the old Clock Tower, the birthplace of the Count Dracula and
the mountain church. Sighisoara is also one of the seven castles, which
gave the name of the province. Further we visit Biertan, that has been
for centuries the residence of the Protestant Bishop of Transilvania.
Here we will see the large church, that rage over the entire village.
We drive further through the Tarnava Valley and we will arrive in Medias,
where we will visit the Margareth Church, that has the highest clock
tower from Romania. In the afternoon we drive through many saxon villages,
from which the most important are Axente-Sever and Slimnic. In the evening
we are invited to the mountain farmers in Sibiel to visit the Glass
Icon museum. In the end we will go at their home and have dinner and
also some drinks, like it the good, old grandmothers times. O/B. Hotel

7th Day Sibiu - Bucharest
In the morning, we will visit Sibiu. Here lives the
largest number of the German speaking minority from Romania. The sights
that we have in the program are the Catholic Church constructed from
Maria – Theresa, the Protestant cathedral, the residence of the
bishops from Romania and also the Palace Bruckental, where we can find
the most valuable art collection from Romania. In the afternoon we drive
over the Red Tower Pas into Valachia, in order to arrive later Bucharest.
On the way we stop and visit the Cozia Monastery, which is the oldest
in our program. In the evening, in Bucharest, we will have dinner in
an open air restaurant. O/B. Hotel Central 3*
8th Day Bucharest - Home
During the morning we will make a city tour to be
acquainted with the capital. That sight which we will visit are the
Patriarch Church, the village museum, the Palace of the Parliament,
the second largest building of the world after the Pentagon. At noon
time, we drive to the airport Otopeni from where we will fly back home.
