Arrival/
transfer to Poiana Brasov ski resort/Welcome dinner
Arrival to Otopeni International Airport ; meet our representatives
. Transfer to Poiana Brasov - the most famous Romanian ski resort.
:
Poiana Brasov is one of the best winter resorts in Romania since it
boasts 12 ski slopes of various difficulty degrees (one special run
for slalom, an olympic run, three downhill and giant slalom runs...).
Different cable runs takes you up on the mountin. From up here you
can admire the wonderful view. During the summer time the mountain
lovers can wander on the marked trails up to the Timis Valley or on
the Tampa Mount and during the winter time, the white sport passionates
benefit from a number of 9 ski slopes with diferent diffiulty degrees:
from very easy to very dificult.
One great mountain (Postavarul) surrounds half of the resort offering
some of the wonderful skiing you will ever find. But do not worry
if you are not an expert - beginners have their very own slopes. Intermediates
will find plenty of lovely runs through Sulinar or Ruia. The skiing
in the area is an intermediate's paradise with lots of lovely wide
blues and reds for which the term "motorway skiing “was
invented. More advanced skiers will find blacks on Subteleferic or
Lupului.
The resort also offers winter camping trips, snowboarding and winter
snowshoe trips in the Postavarul area.
Night skiing
The action doesn't slow down when the sun falls below the mountain.
Bradul offers you the best night skiing you ever had.
The Skiing
The wide gentle nursery areas in the center of the resort and the
plateau at the top of the mountain provide areas ideal for beginners.
Very quickly, beginners will progress to skiing back to the village
on the confidence building blue run from Cristianul Mare, which provides
that vital link between nursery slopes and 'skiing the mountain.'
For intermediates there are three great red runs over varied terrain
on which you can really build your technique and more importantly,
let go and really enjoy your skiing. Accommodation
at House of Dracula Hotel (4*) ( see www.house-of-dracula.com )
, welcome dinner. |
