Asociatia
nationala a agentiilor de turism - AHTA Established: 1973 The Association of Hungarian Travel Agencies (AHTA) has 230 members, of which 195 are full members with both active and passive voting rights. The 32 extraordinary members cannot be elected and cannot take part in the elections. The AHTA is financed solely from its membership dues. The principal function of AHTA is to represent the interests of its members and through this, to constantly raise the level of the services of the travel offices. Ever since its foundation the AHTA has worked to build international relations and as a result it now has official relations with the fraternal organisations of Bulgaria, Germany, Finland, France, Italy, Yugoslavia, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and Turkey. For some ten years the AHTA has been a member of the UFTAA (Universal Federation of Travel Agents Associations), and takes part in the work of ECTAA (Group of National Travel Agents and Tour Operators Associations within the EU).
